Q. What does mamoq mean?

mamoq represents a philosophy based on thoughtful, and considered shopping.  Each letter correlates to a question we encourage you to ask yourself before making a purchase.  Head to Our Ethos page to learn more about each letter, and our shopping philosophy! 

 

Q. How do you pick which brands to work with?

We work with a variety of different brands that are committed to ethical and sustainable production. However, we believe that there are a lot of different ways to embody this goal, which is why we evaluate each brand against the 12 mamoq values.  Each brand must fulfil a minimum of 3 of the values to partner with us.

While we conduct extensive research on every brand we partner with, we are unable to independently verify all information.  Although this is something we hope to grow into, for now there is an element of trust in the brands we partner with.

 

Q. What Countries does mamoq ship to and how much does it cost?

All vendors on mamoq ship worldwide, however delivery charges will vary. The delivery costs are provided on the bottom of every product page so make sure to check shipping costs before buying to avoid any surprises at check out!

 

Q. Do I have to pay customs or tax?

If you are buying from outside the European Union, you may be subject to additional import taxes and duties. 

 

Q. What payment methods do you accept, and is the process secure?

We Accept Visa, Mastercard and most major credit cards.  All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

 

Q. Is my personal information kept private?

We take privacy very seriously at mamoq. We only share your information with third parties that adhere to our Terms and Privacy Policy

 

Q. Do I need to create an account to place an order?

You can always shop with us without creating an account. However, if you sign up with use you can enjoy the following benefits:

  • Track your order and review past purchases
  • Save your account details for quicker checkout in the future
  • Add your favourite items to your wishlist
  • Keep track of all your favourite brands

 

Q. I forgot the password to my account, what do I do?

Not to worry! For security purposes, we are unable to send your old password via email, however if you click ‘Forgot Your Password?’ on the Customer Login Page you will receive a link to the email you signed up with to reset your password.

 

Q. How do I know you received my order?

You will receive an email confirmation after placing your order.  If you have not received an email confirmation, please contact us in the chat by simply clicking the bird in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, on the contact us page or at [email protected]

 

Q. Will I receive multiple packages for a single order?

Possibly.  Each brand is responsible for shipping, so if you order from multiple brands, you will receive multiple packages.

 

Q. When can I expect my package?

Delivery times vary by vendor.  While most will arrive within the business week, some made-to-order pieces can take longer.

 

Q. Can I track my order?

This varies by vendor. The majority of vendors provide tracking information with your parcel which you will receive after the parcel has been shipped.

 

Q. What is your return policy, and how do I return an item?

By law you have 14 days to return any item. However, most of our vendors offer a much longer return period. This is clearly displayed at the bottom of every product page.

 

Q. How do I know what size to order?

Most brands provide helpful size guides if you are unsure what size to order.  They are provided on each product page along with specific delivery and returns information.  Also make sure to read the product description carefully, as it may contain helpful care instructions, and fit information.

 

Q. Are you a registered Social Enterprise?

Yes, we are a UK registered social enterprise. Unlike regular for-profit companies, social enterprises aim to create positive social impact.  These social goals are protected by our governing documents, and help guide our decision making process.  We believe that social businesses are a powerful tool for change, and that is why we donate 10% of profit to help fund other social entrepreneurs.

In addition to being a UK Social Enterprise, we are members of Cambridge Social Ventures, and awaiting B Corp Certification.
